The Lovebugs that have LáLew Laughing

Who knew laughing was so good for you! At LáLew, our team is always looking for new ways to improve mental, emotional and physical health. We read, we journal, we meditate, we walk … and now we laugh. This week, laughter leaders Alik and Lauren Colbert led us through a laughter yoga session.

In less than an hour, we smiled bigger, laughed louder and discovered a new way to pursue wellness. During this session, we learned that adults tend to live in the logic side of their brain, relying on comedy or special events to laugh. Instead, by allowing ourselves to laugh reason-free, we can benefit from increased joy and connection just as we had as children.

First comes love then comes laughter.

Alik and Lauren married in 2017, then together, they completed Laughter Leader training at LaughterYoga University. The couple believes everyone can benefit from these practices and founded Laughing Lovebugs to help others do just that.

There is more to it than just smiles and giggles.

Laughter yoga uses laughing exercises and deep yoga breathing to improve your physical, emotional and mental health. Through their online sessions, participants can relieve pain, boost energy, combat stress, improve their mood, increase their self-confidence and more.

We aren’t the only ones laughing.

Sessions vary from getaway experiences, to workplace sessions and even couple and individual consultations.Their clientele speaks for itself, including big names such as Amazon, Google, Lyft, PayPal and Microsoft.

Interested in giving it a shot?

Check out their sessions and services here. This experience is no joke, but we are still laughing and you can too.
